About UPA(S)
The Ultimate Players Association (Singapore) is the body responsible for the governance of flying disc sports in Singapore. These sports include Ultimate, Beach Ultimate and Disc Golf.
Founded in 2000, the UPA(S) leads a thriving community of more than 5,000 from the various schools & varsities who play the sport as part of their PE curriculum or as an extracurricular activity, more than 15 Full Member Clubs that compete in domestic, regional and international tournaments as well as many recreational groups that play the sport on a leisure basis.
In 2008, UPA(S) was inducted as a full member of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), the international governing body for all disc-related sports in the world and organizers of the World Club and World National Championships. The Association is registered with the Registry of Societies (ROS), Singapore. We are a recognised National Federation (NF) under Sports Singapore and an affiliate of Singapore National Olympic Council.
The Association oversees the organisation of National Championships across disciplines and has established a thriving National Team Program with a particular focus on Youth & Women's Development. Developing and delivering Coaching Courses & Certification, overseeing the Coaching Academy, expanding the Schools Programs as well as grassroots programs are some of the other affairs of the Association. Mass participation, gender equality, Spirit of the Game makes Ultimate one of the fastest growing sports in the world and in Singapore.
Mission
- To serve as the governing body responsible for the development of the Disc Sports in Singapore, representing the interests of the sport and all the full member, athletes and members of the community in Singapore.
- To promote the growth and development of Disc Sports throughout Singapore through the Full Members, Schools & various community outreach programs.
- To provide a means to facilitate communication with the Disc Sports community in Singapore.
- To undertake all activities which benefit the community in Singapore and are consistent with the aforementioned objectives.
- To develop a strong foundation that provides our athletes with platform to deliver excellence in the Sport at domestic, regional and international levels.
- To uphold the Spirit of the Game (SOTG) and raising awareness in the community to evoke the Singapore Spirit

- Grassroots: Grow the base of the "Pyramid" via youth programs in Schools and community outreach that bridges genders, social divides and generations
- Coaching: Develop a Coaching Framework that will strengthen the quality of Coaching as well as making Singapore a regional Hub for Coaching Accreditation
- Performance: Provide the platform for elite performance via the National Team Program (NTP) with a special focus on the youth (National Youth Team Program)
